If you have a internet connection, you can browse many interesting websites to find information, meet new friends, shop, etc. talking about popular websites such as www.yahoo.com, www.webmasterbase.com, www.cnsmag.com, and www.kangguru.co.org. Have you ever wondered how much you enjoy clinging to some of those cool website?

Being a master or an expert in any of our activity is absolutely a fantastic achievement. However, how familiar are you with the word Webmaster? Of course, literally webmaster means an expert in the field of webbing, in other words a person whose job is to update the information on a website. A webmaster needs to master one of the four subdivisions. Those subdivisions are :

1. Web Designing

The expert in this is called a web designer. To be called one, you need to design website first and master, at least, Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) coding.

2. Graphic Designing

If you are a graphic designer, your task is to create an image to make the web interesting. A graphic designer may not always be able to design a website.

3. Web Development

A web developer is the one who creates the programs on the web. What he does is the program, not the interface or layout design like what a graphic designer does. A web developer’s job has more to do with the input and the process. For example, on an E-commerce website the web developer needs to cerate a program regarding delivery f the items purchased. To be a web developer you need to know a programming language such as ASP.

4. Web Content Editing

This editor is in charge of providing information about the site by creating pertinent sentences. It’s different from a copywriter who writes sentences in a company, a web content editor is usually the company’s chief who is suspected to know most about the company. You don’t have to be technologically literate to be an editor, however, your master of sentence structures is a must.

So, a webmaster is the one who maintains a website, whether or not he or she is the one who created it. But it’s not only that! In maintaining the site, a webmaster needs to update all information as well as the company’s profile. The webmaster might work individually or in a team, depending on the website’s scope (how complex it is), and the company’s scope (how big the company is).
